Family Farming


California’s San Joaquin Valley is one of the most productive and diverse farming regions in the world.  Its unique Mediterranean climate provides optimal growing conditions for a large variety of specialty crops including fruits, vegetables and tree nuts.  With over 300 days of sunshine per year, the area is also well suited for our investment in solar power.


Woolf Farming continually runs field trials and test plots in an effort to maintain high yields while minimizing inputs and their impacts. Current efforts include standardizing bed widths to reduce tractor usage and tillage while increasing the life of buried drip lines. Proper crop rotation is critical to maintaining soil health and productivity.



Water, not capital, ingenuity, labor or our limiting resource. Consequently, Woolf Farming and Processing manages each drop intensively. Our team establishes annual water budgets, compares crops by their "returns per acre foot" and schedules irrigations using crop water coefficients.
We've invested heavily in land leveling, well drilling, miles of distribution lines (not open ditches) and thousands of acres of drip and micro irrigation.
Our commitment to water investment extends beyond the farming operations and includes a related business that develops wells and drip system design & installation for other growers in the region.


Woolf Farming & Processing is a thriving multi-crop farming business. We are committed to sustainably farming each crop to ensure the highest quality product while conserving our precious natural resources. Safety and quality are ensured using real time tracking to follow crops from the field to processing to delivery to the customer.
Currently we farm a wide range of crops including: almonds, pistachios, wheat, garlic, hay, onions, tomatoes, grapes, and walnuts.
